Hi, I'm Bella. As a full-time student studying mathematics, statistics, and computer science, I employ my creativity to solve real-world problems using theoretical knowledge. |
In my research, I am primarily interested in the realm of prediction, which is the center of both of my current projects. I'm studying estimation of autocorrelation times using new heuristics with the Data Driven Discovery group at the University of Arizona. Also, at the Pauli lab, I leverage machine learning to predict lettuce growth.
Currently, I am seeking graduate education in the field of statistics to continue researching and prepare for an career. As a sports nerd, I hope to one day combine my passion for team sports with my love for mathematics as a sports data analyst. A few of my most recent projects in this area can be found in my blog.
I am also involved in
As a tutor and teaching assistant for upper-division math courses.
As an officer of the Math Cats, our math club at the University of Arizona.
As a volunteer and creator of diversity initiatives within our math community.
